How to Make a Stun Shot Pool

snooker rules pdf

A good pool stun shot is something you should master. It could make the difference between winning or losing. There are a number of different types of shots, and each one has its own rules and techniques. But you cannot just hit the ball. Instead, you will need to hit it hard. The more you hit it, the better the chance it will pocket.

A stun shot requires a strong hit. In straight pool games, this means that the cueball must travel straight in and not divert from its intended course. This is often achieved by putting a jack up, or elevating the butt end of the cue.

A "break" shot is one that is taken at the last OB in a straight-pool game. There are several different types of break shots. Some are used to help you get out of trouble and others to help you score more. One such is the golden break, or the golden pocket.

Another option is to break-out or break-out. This type of shot is a good way to score a quick shot when the ball cluster is out of position. Your shot may be able to jar your opponent, putting him in a difficult spot. A good hit often results in an OB that remains on the table, making the job harder.

However, a "break" is not the only way to score a win. Here are some other ways to achieve the same goal:

Grade "A shot": A shot with a high likelihood of success. A good hit, for example, will strike an OB first. This is followed by a second hit, which can win the OB.

Fancy shot: This skill is rare and requires a lot practice. Typically, this involves a very short and punchy stroke, called a "J" stroke. Unlike a jab stroke, a "J" stroke is curved, like a pendulum. The shooter can also benefit from a jelly roll, which is a roll made of the cueball.

Fancy-looking. Another term for a fancy-looking shot, is a "flight." A flight is a fancy-looking shot that isn't necessarily the most accurate, but it is the most impressive. A flight is normally a low percentage shot like a top/bottom spin and a flyer.

Stun shot - While it might not be as glamorous than other types of shots but it is still very important. It's good to keep it close at hand. Otherwise, your opponent could easily steal a win.

Other common names for a stun shot are the grade "B" shot, the jelly roll, and the nip draw. What is the most important of these?

A nip draw in pool is a great idea. It keeps the CB off the table. A nip strike is more complex because the follow-through is minimal.
