Cutthroat pool is a great game for three to five people. The rules are similar to 8-ball pool, where each player gets a set and the other has to take their ball. There are however some additional rules that make it different from 8ball pool.
During the game, players must assign the balls to groups and agree on when the shots are taken. Each group is made up of numbered balls, from 1 to 5 in each group. After the first player makes a shot, all players have the option to choose a set of balls.
Cutthroat players must remember that the cueball must be placed between the table rail and the head cushion. Fouls are committed by players who accidentally lift the cueball from the table. If a foul is committed, the player must spot the ball again and then lose their turn.

Cutthroat is played with a triangular rack. A player will usually place one ball in front of him, and the other balls are placed at the corners of the triangle. The number of players in the game will determine which corners are racked. To avoid a messy break, players need to plan how they will call the shots.
In most cases, each player will call their shots in turn. They can only stop if there is a foul, miss, or mishap. There are several rules that dictate the manner in which balls are spotted. If a ball is spotted with the shooter’s ball on it, the object ball must also be seen on the rail. This increases the chances of the shooter making a score, and it makes it harder for the other players to run the ball out.
In cutthroat, there are no draws. A draw occurs when both the shooter or the opponent's shot make contact on the rail. Cutthroat does not allow for any draws. However, players who spot a ball without making contact with it will be accepted by the rest of the group.
Cutthroat is an extremely fast-paced game that requires players not to stop shooting. Cutthroat requires players to constantly shoot in order to win. Once that goal is reached, the player will win the game.

It is common to play cutthroat with three or more players. You can play it with two teams, depending on your number of players. Although teams are more likely to win if all their players are proficient in the game it can still be very entertaining to play with just two or three. There are simple rules that you can follow and more sophisticated strategies. You can also learn new skills while having a lot of fun.
